A dance-wonderland to close the semester before Christmas

To end this semester in style before the Christmas holidays, the students from classes 6e12, 6e4 and 6/5/4/3 ULIS accompanied by their teacher, Mr. Frache, Ladies Tauveron and Noël, had the privilege of attending an exceptional school performance of the show "The 50th anniversary of the Princess Grace Academy", this Thursday 18 December at the Grimaldi Forum, in the prestigious Salle des Princes.

This show celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Princess Grace Academy, founded in 1975 at the initiative of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III. It is a captivating retrospective presenting nine small choreographic pieces created over the last fifteen years by many renowned choreographers, invited to work with the students of this school of excellence.

The students of the Academy, aged 13 to 18, are mostly from abroad and pursue part of their general studies by correspondence in their respective countries. The curriculum of the Academy already prepares them for a life as professional dancers, with the aim of integrating them into major international companies.

At the end of the performance, Mr. Luca Masala, artistic and pedagogical director of the Academy, went on stage to exchange with the audience. Our students, particularly playful and curious, were able to ask questions and engage directly with him during an enriching question-answer session.

This outing was a great opportunity to discover the universe of classical and contemporary dance, while celebrating an emblematic anniversary of the Principality. A big thank you to all the organizers (the Princess Grace Academy and the Ballets de Monte-Carlo) for this memorable experience that amazed our middle school students!
