Chinese New Year Gala 2026

In 2026, the Chinese New Year will take place on February 17. This year will be placed under the sign of the Fire Horse, symbol of energy, dynamism and success. This traditional festival, also called the Spring Festival, is a moment of joy, sharing and renewal.
On Wednesday, February 11, the Chinese New Year gala was held at the Le Méridien hotel in Monaco. The event was organized by the association Monaco China, with the support of the Ambassador of Monaco in China. It was a great opportunity to celebrate the friendship and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The Chinese students of Charles III College actively participated in this festive evening. The sixth-grade students performed the dance 'I’m really not bad'. The students in 5th grade presented the dance "We make progress every day". The 4th grade students danced to 'You are really beautiful when you smile'. Finally, the 9th grade students performed a tai-chi demonstration, combining grace and concentration.
The performances of the students were remarkable and elicited warm applause from the audience. Their performance testified to their work, their enthusiasm and their interest in Chinese culture. In addition, they also attended a spectacular lion dance as well as a performance of guzheng (Chinese zither), which allowed them to discover all the richness and diversity of Chinese culture.
