Geometry & Pink October

This project "Pink October Geometry" took place at Charles III middle-school with different 6th and 5th grade classes during their math class.

As part of Pink October, the students carried out an activity combining geometry and solidarity: the construction of the famous pink ribbon, a symbol of the fight against breast cancer.
Supervised by their teachers, they followed different stages of geometric outlines to give shape to this strong symbol of prevention and hope.
A beautiful way to raise awareness while learning, and to show that mathematics can also serve as a support for citizen engagement.
