Italian Film Day
Once again this year, the students of the 3rd class 6, 7, 8, 13 and 14 of Collège Charles III had the opportunity to attend the 39th Italian Cinema Days at the Espace Magnan. In this context, they discovered C'è ancora domani, a surprising film directed by Paola Cortellesi that has won numerous awards in Italy and internationally. This feature film addresses key themes such as violence against women and women’s empowerment, the right to vote and reconstruction after World War II.
An output that fits perfectly in the history-geography program of 3rd grade students, who study this crucial period of the post-war. By participating in this event, they were able to deepen their knowledge while developing a critical reflection through the prism of cinema, the seventh art.
This projection marks the continuity of a tradition that is gradually anchored in the life of the college: familiarize and give the taste for Italian cinema to our students. The involvement of the Italian section LV2 does not stop there! After the Italian language competition held in mid-March, our students will also have the chance to experience other enriching experiences, such as school trips to Sicily from 24 to 28 March 2025 and to Mondavio, in the Marches, scheduled for June 2025.
A big thank you to this year’s chaperones: Mr. Cojan and Mr. Melis, LV2 Italian teachers; Ms. Jeanroy-Fiori, music education teacher; and Ms. Maillet, history and geography teacher. A huge thank you also to the management of our institution for making this experience possible. Thanks to these varied and immersive projects, our students are increasingly immersed in the Italian culture and language, enriching their learning in a lively and concrete way.
