2nd edition of the Italian Eloquence contest
On Friday, February 28, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the multipurpose hall of the new Charles III College hosted the second edition of the Italian Eloquence Competition. This year again, the event was a great success, bringing together students of 4th and 3rd years who competed with passion and talent through fiery speeches in the language of Dante.
Our motivated and well-prepared speakers were able to captivate the audience with varied topics of great intellectual richness. From the importance of fashion in the Italian economy to the influence of music in our societies, through sports, education and travel, the themes discussed reflected the reflection and maturity of our students.
To evaluate these high-level services, a jury composed of staff and professors speaking Italian and/ or Italophiles was mobilized. This year, it was composed of:
Jacqueline AMENDOLA, French teacher,
Mara MARCEL, facility officer,
Giulia SAVIO, professor of Italian,
Tobia SAVOCA, professor of history and geography.
Given the high quality of the speeches and the impressive oratory skills of the participants, the jury had a lot of difficulty in judging the candidates. This was a half-point! After careful deliberation, we present the list of winners for this edition:

After congratulating all the students for their commitment and courage, he concluded the event by highlighting, on the one hand, the importance of these experiences in preparing for future oral and on the other hand, the interest of mastering the Italian language in the world from a cultural, economic and social point of view.
The first ranked student in each category will have the honour of representing Collège Charles III at the Concours d'Éloquence de l'académie de Nice, organized by the Association des Professeurs d'Italien de l'Académie (API 06/83).
