BIMer

On 30 April, students preparing for the Brevet d'Initiation à la Mer (BIMer) participated in a sea trip organized by the Maritime Affairs in Monaco. On a sea of oil, they sailed aboard the Vitamar III between the ports of Hercule and Fontvieille, piloting the ship themselves under the supervision of two sailors, Cédric and Lorenzo. The objective was to give them practical experience in navigation and familiarize them with devices essential for maritime safety, such as navigational buoys, danger-signalling buoys, fishing buoys, access channels...

Estelle explained to the students where the fishing areas and marine protected areas of the region are located, thus emphasizing the ecological stakes of the Mediterranean. This day reinforced their theoretical training and offered a concrete immersion in the world of the navy, consolidating their skills for the future.

A big thank you to Maritime Affairs for organizing this sea trip. Thanks to their expertise and support, the students were able to live an enriching experience, combining theory and practice in a unique setting. The exam is on May 21, now you have to revise!
