Our students shine at the Italian Consulate in Nice

Regional final of the oratory competition in Italian
On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the prestigious Consulate General of Italy in Nice hosted the regional final of the Italian eloquence competition, an event that brings together the best young speakers from the academy of Nice. Among them, two students from the Charles III College in Monaco were able to distinguish themselves with talent and panache.
We are particularly proud to announce that Edoardo Garavaglia, a 3rd grader, distinguished himself by winning 2nd place in the Bilingual Student - College category. A remarkable performance, the result of rigorous preparation and unfailing commitment, accompanied by his teacher, Mr. Cojan.
Nicolas Gandolfo, 4th grader, offered a very high quality service in the LV2 Student - College category. Although he is not among the podium winners, his speech was unanimously praised by the jury and the professors present for its accuracy, sincerity and expressiveness. It was prepared by Mr. Melis.
The speeches, inspired in particular by the quote from the poet Alda Merini 'Quando si arriva in un nuovo paese senza sapere la lingua, è come essere dei bambini.' , offered a moment of emotion and reflection, demonstrating the depth of thought of our students as well as their mastery of the Italian language.
The participation of Edoardo and Nicolas in this final illustrates the vitality of the Italian section of the Charles III College and the excellence of the pedagogical support offered. Their commitment, passion and talent are a credit to our establishment and the entire Principality.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Edoardo for his brilliant second place, as well as to Nicolas for his remarkable performance. Their journey is a source of inspiration for all our students.
Finally, a big thank you to their teachers and the entire educational team for their constant support and investment. Thanks to them, our students continue to flourish, to surpass themselves and to wear the colors of the Charles III College.
