Ancient languages in the spotlight
In order to exploit and deepen their academic learning in situ, the Latinists and Hellenists of the Charles III Middlle-school were on the road to Italy on Monday February 19, accompanied by their teachers: L. Antognelli, I. Cazalilla, B. Ferrari, P . Lenoir and S. Roux.
Once there, the 5th, 4th and 3rd year middle-school students were able to discover the Eternal City in the Baroque period with the Piazza Navona and the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone as well as the Trevi Fountain where, according to the tradition, throwing 2 coins into the fountain could help you return to Rome and see your dearest wish come true.
The following two days were dedicated to the discovery of Christian Rome with a visit to Saint Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel.
Ancient Rome was also part of the program, with the Villa Hadriana in Tivoli, the Colosseum, which is so famous worldwide, the Roman Forum, a center of social, cultural and political life, and the Palatine where the imperial residences were - without forgetting the Pantheon of course !
